Education: Lehi High School graduate and is pursuing a dental hygiene
degree at Utah Valley State College.
Sports and hobbies: Riding reining horses, roping with my family,
window shopping at western stores, watching drag races, playing the
piano and going on Sunday drives with my father.
Why I want to be Miss Rodeo Utah: "To everything there is a season,
and this is the season of my life to put forth and promote a sport
and heritage I love dearly. A queen is the frontline for
organizations, communities, clubs and associations. She can bring
information, ideas and be the spokesperson to represent this great
sport . . . .I am looking forward to the opportunity to be the
liaison for our sponsors, supporters, contestants and all who love
the sport of rodeo."

Education: Alta High School graduate, received associate of science
degree at College of Eastern Utah and has attended Weber State
University.
Sports and hobbies: Shopping for shoes, aerobics, four-wheeling with
my brothers, scrap booking and camping.
Why I want to be Miss Rodeo Utah: "I would be grateful for this
unique opportunity to represent Utah and educate its people about the
sport I love: rodeo. By sharing my experience with youth, adults and
the media, I would seek to promote pride in their western heritage
and maximize their enjoyment of this exciting competition. I pledge
to represent Utah and the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association with
grace, dignity and integrity." |

Age: 23
Hometown: Morgan
Education: Morgan High School graduate and is working toward a degree
in broadcast journalism with a minor in art at Utah State University.
Sports and hobbies: Enjoys playing sports and was a member of her
high school basketball, rodeo, soccer, track and tennis teams.
Dancing also is a hobby and has traveled to Germany to perform with a
clogging dance team.
Why I want to be Miss Rodeo Utah: "Being crowned Miss Rodeo Utah
would give me the opportunity to provide everyone a chance to
discover that part of themselves which identifies with the rugged
strength, individuality and freedom that the cowboy symbolizes. Rodeo
is America's original sport and a part of our heritage. It represents
sportsmanship, family values, teamwork and good, hometown fun."

Hometown: Spanish Fork
Education: Spanish Fork High School graduate and is attending Utah
Valley State College, majoring in physical education.
Sports and hobbies: Barrel racing, jogging, softball and country dancing.
Why I want to be Miss Rodeo Utah: "I love the sport of rodeo and it
has been a huge part of my life. I spent my whole life growing up
around horses and competing in many different areas with them. Rodeo
isn't just a sport to the people who compete in it. It is a way of
life. . . . So by being Miss Rodeo Utah I would have the opportunity
to be an ambassador for the cowboys and cowgirls who take part in
rodeo and give back to them just a little of what they give us in
every rodeo performance."

Hometown: South Weber
Education: Northridge High School graduate and a graduate of Davis
Applied Technology Center in secretarial, computer and business
courses. Attended Weber State University and is attending the
Ogden/Weber Applied Technology College in the pharmacy-tech program.
Sports and hobbies: Barrel racing, team roping, water skiing,
snowboarding, camping and hiking.
Why I want to be Miss Rodeo Utah: "Rodeo has become more than just a
hobby for me. It has become my life and my love. I admire the
camaraderie that presides in the great sport of rodeo and feel it is
important not only to preserve our western heritage but also to
promote a sport that has become a way of life for so many people.
Winning the title of Miss Rodeo Utah would allow me to give just a
little back to the sport that has given me so much."

Hometown: Fairview
Education: Graduate of North Sanpete High School, earned a bachelor's
of science degree in bioveterinary science and is completing a
bachelor's of science degree in agriculture communications.
Sports and hobbies: Running, dancing, being in the outdoors, teaching
voice lessons, competing in talent shows and helping her sister raise
Pembroke Welsh Corgies.
Why I want to be Miss Rodeo Utah: "I hold a deep passion and an
inborn fondness for my western heritage. I feel that it is important
to share our unique history with those who don't realize the
significance of our state's and nation's past. There has been no time
more vital to our country and our sport than now. It is imperative
that the sport of rodeo and the state of Utah have an ambassador and
spokesperson who can generate awareness about the great sport of
rodeo to the public." |

Hometown: Heber City
Education: Wasatch High School graduate and is seeking a degree in
accounting and business management at Utah Valley State College.
Sports and hobbies: Snowmobiling, four-wheeling, shooting guns,
playing cards and team sports like basketball and softball.
Why I want to be Miss Rodeo Utah: "It is my ancestors and those
before us that have made it possible for me to have what I have
today. They blazed the trail, wrote the history books, endured
hardships and fought for the freedom that gives our country its
character. I want to continue this legacy by being Miss Rodeo Utah
and having the opportunity to add a chapter to the history books." |

Education: Fremont High School graduate and is pursuing a bachelor's
degree in dental hygiene at Weber State University.
Sports and hobbies: Downhill skiing, snowmobiling, fishing, playing
softball, photography and riding and showing reining horses at a
competitive level.
Why I want to be Miss Rodeo Utah: "Rodeo in an excellent example of a
lifestyle that I love. As Miss Rodeo Utah I would be able to share my
passion for the sport that has helped form our western heritage.
Growing up in the Beehive State, I have experienced a tradition of
our American heritage and learned that in our dreams and aspirations
are some of our greatest opportunities." |
