Tonight I signed autograph sheets with barrel man and rodeo clown Val Byrum for all of the kids at the Ogden Pioneer Days Special Rodeo. Val brought his barrel that he uses at the rodeos and we let the kids get inside while we turned the barrel. Some of the other events for the kids included: Freedom Riders, who assisted the kids while riding horses, Sundance- Ogden’s dancing horse, stick horse barrels, dummy roping, face branding, bull and horse buck stations, and a stick horse flag race. All of the kids had a good time and received trophies for being champion cowboys and cowgirls.

While I was in Nephi I visited with PRCA Team Roper Jason Rindlisbacher, a salesman from Morinda Care, a company who makes a Noni product for horses and dogs that promotes overall health in your animals. It helps them to build stronger immune systems and recover quicker from injuries. They gave me some samples to try with my horse and I’m excited to see the results. I appreciate their kindness.

Today I went to Nephi to sign autographs at Greenline/ IFA and also to do some radio interviews with announcer Mike Mathis and Q Country 97.7. The Nephi Ute Stampede is Thursday July 15th- Saturday July 17th and the rodeo starts at 8:00 each night.

I rode in the Ogden Pioneer Days All Horse Parade with the Ogden Royalty, the Pioneer Days Committee and the Whoopie Girls. After the parade I went to the park for a BBQ and signed autographed pictures.

One person that has been so nice to me all year long is Chris Williams from Dodge Rodeo. He has been to most of the rodeos that I have attended this year and has really become a good friend of mine. I always tease with him that I am going to steal his nice truck and pull the “illiams” sticker off of “Williams” and add “ade” for Wade.

The military presentation at the beginning of the rodeo tonight was so amazing. I was crying.

My good friends from Logan Coach were at the Days of 47 All Horse Parade today and they gave me some exciting news. They are so awesome to work with that they actually did some custom work for the 2010 Miss Rodeo Utah trailer after hearing some of my ideas. They are adding a rear saddle rack and half tack so that a clothes rack can go in to the front tack room. Lucky! I have enjoyed pulling my Logan Coach Trailer so much this year. Its easy to pull, it has nice features for me and my horse, and it is built so well. Thanks to Utah Trailer Source and Logan Coach for their great service and for their support this year.

This morning I met with the Silver Spurs all women’s riding club and Fox News Reporter Big Budah to promote the Days of 47 All Horse Parade that will be held Saturday, July 10th at 10:00 am. The parade is going to start at Sandy Promenade, just north of the South Town Mall. Every spectator at the parade will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win a 42 inch flat screen television, Rocky Mountain Raceway tickets, Days of 47 Rodeo Tickets, as well as many other prizes. The Grand Marshall for the parade is Leo the Lion, the REAL Salt Lake Soccer Mascot and the parade will also include entrees like Make a Wish Foundation, Utah State Western Riding Club Association, Miss Rodeo Utah and Miss Rodeo Ogden, Coldwater Gang, and many other riding clubs. It brought back old memories to once again have Roger Mooney announce my name, only this time it was at the Vernal Dinosaur Roundup Rodeo and not Ogden Pioneer Days. I can’t believe that will once again be right around the corner when a new Miss Rodeo Utah will be announced in Pioneer Stadium on July 24th.

The royalty for the Vernal Rodeo is Queen- Kylie Brown, 1st Attendant- Tiffany Nielsen, and 2nd Attendant- Chasity Arnold.

My new friend Daniel, who is 19 years old, was a roping fool at the Special Kids Rodeo in Vernal. The kids were able to rope, ride horses, meet Smokey the Bear, catch fish at the fishing pond, get their faces painted, compete in a potato sack race and many other activities. It was so much fun and everyone had such a great time.

The last night of the Oakley rodeo was packed. I have to applaud the efforts of the Oakley Rodeo Queen Jamie Udell. She is from southern Utah and she has been away from home for three straight weeks to promote the Oakley rodeo at some of the other PRCA Rodeos over the last few weeks. She even volunteered her time to sell tickets and Tough Enough to Wear Pink Merchandise at the other rodeos she attended as visiting royalty. She has gone above and beyond and the Oakley committee should be very proud of their representative. We did the chicken dance with rodeo clown Randee Munns in celebration of her getting to go home and relax for 10 days before she comes back north for the Miss Rodeo Utah competition.
