Cami Cushing McBride
The fifth time was the charm for Cami Cushing. And, to be sure, The 23-year-old Sandy woman charmed a panel of four judges to win the Miss Rodeo Utah crown.
Cushing, a graduate of College of Eastern Utah, was named this year’s winner in front of a cheering crowd at Ogden Stadium. She won four of the five judged events – personality, appearance, public speaking and photogenics. Coronation was held during the final performance of the Ogden Pioneer Days Rodeo. Ogden Pioneer Days is Utah’s top statehood celebration.
Cushing is the daughter of Dave and Carol Cushing and has attended Weber State University.She enjoys shopping for shoes, aerobics, four-wheeling with her family, scrapbooking and camping. “I am grateful for this unique opportunity to represent Utah and educate its people about the sport I love: rodeo,” says Cushing. “I pledge to represent Utah and the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association with grace, dignity and integrity.”
