Why I want to be Miss Rodeo Utah: “My desire to be Miss Rodeo Utah stems from two core beliefs.  The first is my love for all things rodeo — that is a given for anyone wanting to become Miss Rodeo Utah.  I believe it is important to share the values and excitement that rodeo brings to our nation.  I need to also add my second core conviction, which is that we are put on this earth to be of service to others. A rodeo queen is more than just horse skill and rodeo knowledge.  It is also having a caring heart to serve. Being part of the ‘rodeo family’ is about the value of helping others. Internally, it is caring for anyone associated with the industry and the contestants.  Being Miss Rodeo Utah allows for opportunities to show value and respect for our nation and armed forces, as well as visiting schools, hospitals and care centers. For me, it’s really about touching lives and making a difference. As I look at my life’s ambitions, I feel the best way to combine my love of rodeo and my passion for service would be by representing our magnificent state as Miss Rodeo Utah.”
